New talk, Know Your Limits: On Surviving Open Source

Last week I was honoured to give a talk to the latest batch of Djangonauts.

It’s called, Know Your Limits: On Surviving Open Source, and it’s just been published on the Djangonauts YouTube channel:

I talk about why you might want to do open source, some of the dangers, and what you might want to do about that.

It’s just over 20 minutes (a quick 10 on 2x) and then there’s about the same of Q&A at the end.

I really enjoyed the session, and I hope you get something from it.

As way of testimonial, Marijke Luttekes, one of the current batch of Djangonauts, posted on Fosstodon about it:

At Djangonaut Space, we had the honor to listen to one of the best talks I've ever heard.

It contains lessons I will never forget and wish I'd heard many years earlier in my career.

What a fantastic piece by @carlton, with Q&A afterward.

…which is enough to make me blush ☺️
